Islamabad: Former finance minister Asad Umar took a jibe at Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in the National Assembly asking if they were incompetent too since they changed four finance ministers during their tenure.
‘Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government confessed its incompetence since the finance minister was changed. Since four finance ministers were changed during your (PPP) tenure does that make you the more incompetent?” Umar asked
Umar, while comparing statistics said that while the budget deficit is increasing and might exceed 6.5 percent this year, during PPP rule, the deficit on an average was 7 percent and there were years when 8 percent was also recorded.
